Job Title: Research Analyst - Global Telecom Research

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Our client is the premier management consulting firm with more than 90 offices worldwide. It advises top management of the world’s leading companies on issues of strategy, organization and operations.

The Telecoms practice at our client engages with Telecom clients around the world on different functional aspects like Regulation, Commercial Strategy, Corporate Finance, Organization etc .The practice serves clients primarily in the Mobile Services, Integrated Wireline (IWL) and Telecom equipment industries It is supported by a research team that helps consultants on their day to day research and information needs by researching, analyzing and synthesizing a variety of issues on these topics.

We are currently looking for suitable candidates for supporting the Telecom client teams.

Role:

• Support client teams with targeted information, specialized analyses and synthesized findings
• Enhance the practice’s current awareness of key developments in the domain
• Act as a thought partner for consultants and be recognized as valuable resource of information and expertise
• Perform basic financial calculations
• Prepare and present written and visual materials based on analysis

Requirement:

• Strong academic background (Masters degree - MBA/ M. Tech./ M.E./M.S.). Graduation in engineering will be preferred, however it’s not mandatory.
• 6 months - 2 years experience in a similar role in either a research firm; Telecom sector research role with an Investment Bank; or working with a Telecom operator/vendor or working with Mobile content companies / Value added services.
• Has knowledge of the latest Technological and Market trends in the telecom sector
• Strategic mindset with focus on problem solving
• Strong multitasking abilities, service-oriented personality, intellectual curiosity with an investigative mind, an ability to perform well in a highly demanding environment
• Strong numerical, analytical and financial skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
