A brand new concept, this start-up website is designed as a zone where gamers can unite to share and take advantage of global gaming experience. Profits will be generated from the sale of advertising rights & game access to Distributors, Internet Café & Gamers.
Not only will this Game Portal be the only website that gamers around the world have bookmarked, but it will also be the one web start-up of 2007 that every advertiser will want rights to.
The proposed Game Portal plans to become the largest online game community in India by providing users with the most relevant games & interaction tools.
The Portal will offer community an entertaining place to play online games & interact with each other and the world in general. It will generate traffic first, valuation for investors, and eventually commerce and profits.
Job Description :
Game Manager plan and define all the elements and components of a game: its setting; structure; rules; story flow; characters; the objects, props, vehicles, and devices available to the characters; interface design; and modes of play. Sometimes the Game Manager is the originator of the games concept or premise. More often, most of the core ingredients are already defined and the Game Manager must decide how to create the best game using this elements.

Responsibility:-
- Formulate the concept and vision for all the games that would be hosted on the Portal.
- Plan and Manage the Game lifecycle.
- Generating new product ideas and offer enhancements to existing products
- Developing and owning responsibility for the product roadmap, including scoping, analyzing and prioritizing incoming requests, then negotiating launch timeframes with development teams
- Acting as the main interface between many internal departments in order to ensure all required improvements are progressed appropriately and implementation deadlines are successfully met
- Conducting competitive analysis and continually reviewing current products and additions in order to identify areas of opportunity and development for the company
- Defining, tracking and improving Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics
- Taking ownership and responsibility of the product through its lifecycle from launch through to testing stage
- Train testers to play the game
- Pipeline management
- Maintaining, managing and helping develop bonus and loyalty programs for company run products and brands
Requirements: -
- An MBA with;
- Thorough understanding of Gaming Industry
- 5-7 years of product management experience out of which at least 1 year in Online Gaming Company & rest in similar industry sectors such as Online, Entertainment or Technology.
- Proven online Product Management experience, including the creation of detailed functional specifications
- Excellent track record of developing, marketing and launching online products or promotions.
- A strong technical understanding of the web production environment, data mining and the software development process
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to present business and technical progress and recommendations across international, cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
