Our Financial Advisory Services (FAS) practice offers preeminent advice to clients on critical financial and economic events and transactions facing their businesses.
Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance LLC (”DTCF”) offers sophisticated investment banking advice to companies participating in middle market transactions across the globe. DTCF is a registered broker dealer and a wholly owned subsidiary of Deloitte FAS. DTCF provides clients with boutique levels of service and industry knowledge integrated with the market reach and technical resources of a global advisory network.

Our Service Deliver Centre (also referred to as Region 10 or “R10″) at Hyderabad employs professionals who work closely with our US practitioners to respond quickly and efficiently to the complex and diverse needs of our clients.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or general business management; plus:

  • an MBA or similar advanced degree; and
  • additional professional certifications such as the CFA will be an advantage.

Work Experience: Require 7-9 years of investment banking or corporate finance-specific and/or general financial advisory experience in a professional services or investment banking firm:

  • Analyzing companies from a financial, operational, competitive, and industry perspective;
  • Assisting clients to develop tactical plans to address corporate development needs;
  • Valuing companies based on discounted cash flow, comparable trading, and comparable transactions analyses;
  • Building complex financial models utilizing Microsoft Excel to determine the impact of M&A transactions and LBO analysis;
  • Researching and analyzing industries and market data;
  • Writing offering memoranda and engagement letters;
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP accounting;
  • Strong project and people management skills, with a focus on human relations, preferably in a professional services environment;
  • Experience in building and leading growing teams and managing client relationships, preferably with a cross-border component; and
  • Experience of managing multiple teams and projects concurrently will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Practice Building:

  • Develop and build relationships with corporate finance professionals in the U.S. up to and including partners, principals and directors;
  • Develop familiarity with and manage the application of U.S. methodologies and techniques in the delivery of products and services; and
  • Participate with U.S. corporate finance professionals in the development and implementation of new products and services.

Practice Management:

  • Manage and supervise a growing team of corporate finance professionals in India; facilitate communication between them and their U.S. counterparts;
  • Develop, monitor and control project plans; schedule the activities of a team of professionals;
  • Review work products and deliverables, and assist in the quality review of deliverables produced by the corporate finance team in India; and
  • Conduct project and management review meetings with internal Deloitte teams.

People Development:

  • Participate in recruiting new staff;
  • Develop, coach and mentor junior and mid-level staff, inculcating the professional services culture; and
  • Monitor the continuing education and training of the team in India, technically and otherwise; and help to keep the team up to date with current best practice globally and in the U.S.
