Job Title: Senior Manager - Decision Sciences

Job Description:

As part of the team, you will be responsible for developing models using statistical, econometric or operations research techniques to predict customer behaviour affecting marketing decisions in their different businesses.

Roles & Responsibilities: -

  • Developing Solutions (18%)
    • Proposes solutions to solve strategic, tactical, structured, and unstructured business problems, e.g., growing trades, optimizing marketing-mix, marketing ROI, general measurement methodologies.
    • Communicates with CKC client managers and sponsors on solution recommendations.
    • Potential recommended solutions include response and look-alike modeling, long-term value modeling, sub-segmentation, marketing optimization, experimental design, complex campaign analysis, and strategic analysis.
  • Directing & Delivering Solutions (44%)
    • Works independently or supervises other DS staff and/or technical resources on projects, including providing coaching on business problems, guidance on methodologies, quality assurance of results, and managing deliverables and presentations of results.
  • Coaching, Guidance, & Mentoring (21%)
    • Provides mentoring, coaching and consulting advice and guidance to DS staff, e.g., analytic methodologies, data recommendations.
    • Provides consulting advice and guidance to other CKC staff and sponsors, e.g., measurement methodologies, campaign design, usage of analytics for campaign targeting.
  • Communication & Coordination (10%)
    • Works with marketing sponsors and other CKC professionals to identify requirements.
    • Discusses with sponsors on appropriate problem-solving approaches.
    • Works with tech groups to identify and resolve any data, environment or implementation issues.
    • Coordinates with other MSM associates and FBCT partners on execution, when appropriate.
  • Developing / Evaluating Tools, Methodologies or Infrastructure (7%)
    • Evaluates / develops tools, methodologies or infrastructure to support long-term business problems and take the group to the next level, e.g., modelling software, modelling methodologies, data and system requirements, scoring process, optimization environment.

The analysis and models produced by the company are used by decision makers in marketing.

Candidate Profile:

Experience & Qualifications: -

  • MS / MA in statistics / management science / econometrics / economics / bio-statistics with at least 7 years of relevant experience; or Ph.D. in statistics / management science / econometrics / economics / bio-statistics with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Skills / Knowledge: -
  • Subject matter expert of at least one Decision Sciences areas (predictive modeling and data mining, marketing optimization, sophisticated experiments, advanced measurement, and deep-dive strategic analysis).
  • SAS
  • Unix / Linux
  • Data mining / predictive analytics / machine learning techniques.
  • Advanced statistical training including experimental design and statistical analysis.
  • Industrial knowledge of their business.
  • Familiar with data in an warehouse environment.
  • Marketing and direct marketing experience.

Problem Solving: -

Proposes and delivers world-class problem-solving solutions to address strategic, tactical, structured and unstructured business problems, e.g., growing trades, optimizing marketing-mix, marketing ROI, general measurement methodologies.
