LogicaCMG Expected To Cut Jobs, Add Offshoring

British IT services firm LogicaCMG Plc is expected to announce hundreds of job losses when it presents the outcome of its strategic review on Tuesday, as new Chief Executive Andy Green focuses on more off-shoring, reports Reuters.
“It’s an important date. We are expecting the cost of transforming the business at around 80 million pounds ($158 million), with around 1,000 staff to be replaced or changed,” Morgan Stanley analyst Patrick Standaert told Reuters.
The profit warning last May centred on a poor performance in Britain, which is now expected to bear the brunt of the cuts as the firm looks to expand overseas.
