IT Cos Ready To Take A Big Leap In Advertising

Indian IT services companies may be ready to do an IBM or an Accenture in the advertising space. The major services providers, who were hitherto shy of high-decibel marketing, are now talking of multi-million dollar spends, grabbing mindshare of top CEOs and even celebrity endorsements to get a larger slice of the global IT outsourcing pie.

This trend is playing out largely in the US, which easily contributes over 50% of the business of large companies. Analysts feel it is time IT ad campaigns of Indian firms mimicked consumer-style branding.
